The roving cutting systems which we have developed over the years find a versatile usage in the textile-, automobile-, plastic- and construction industry.

In connection with our SMC production units we are using e.g. cutting systems which are integrated with either a standing vertically or suspended- depending on the specific application purpose. An interesting layout is the mobile version. While changing blades the production failure can be reduced to a minimum if a replacement cutting system is at hand.

Should the fibre cutting length be changed for a short term in order to produce another SMC type the shut-down time can be drastically reduced through a replacement cutting system.

The standard cutting lengths are 12,7mm, 25,4 mm or 50,8 mm. On demand we will also offer you other cutting lengths.

Another application area for our roving cutting system is the charge of mixing and kneading installations for BMC (Bulk Moulding Compounds). Hereby narrowly constructed cutting system are used, but in most cases with two or three cutters put in a row. Each of the narrow constructed cutters can be adjusted to different cutting lengths.

In principle our cutter rolls are helically fluted in order to get a quiet motion. The blades themselves are available made from high-grade steel as endless belt and have to be fastened on the cutter roll. The surfaces of the rolls are grinded and hard chromium plated. The blade rolls are directly driven and different systems are available for the supervision and the adjustment of the rotary speed.

The contact rolls are equipped with a cut-resistant plastic coating.The contact pressure can be adjusted with pneumatic valves. The plastic coating can be reconditioned several times in order to eliminate traces of wear. We took precaution so that the plastic coated roll can easily be dismounted .

The impression cylinders are equipped with a cut-resistant plastic coating.

Our cutters are basically equipped with a side traverse motion in order to attain an equable wear of the blades and the counter roll. You can adjust the side traverse motion individually.

The cutting performance of our roving cutters, quantified in kg/h, first of all is determined by the working width. The rotation speed is adjustable in a big range so that the cutting performance can be adjusted to the actual need.

Our cutting systems can be equipped with a number of options which will enable an even more productive application of the systems:

• Piker roller (dubble or single)
• Blow out device for the blade and counter roll
